A few months ago, everyone who was forced over from MSN started appearing twice on their friends' contact lists if they used the Skype program to chat.
A couple of weeks ago, the original "Messenger" contact entry for them was removed from everyone's lists. This means if they never talked to you using Skype, they've just disappeared.
kupoexe, please get in touch. Skype has removed you because of this. Outside of dA I've lost a couple of other friends I speak with regularly because they used the MSN protocol on alternatives like Trillian, or the web chat feature on Outlook.com. They're just gone.
Everyone, we seriously need to look for a new chat program. Skype has had problems delivering messages correctly for the last year and now it's removing our contacts - deliberately. This is a complete failure of the two most basic functions a messaging program is meant to perform.

So... I vanished! I lost the pace with the World Cup 2018 story and then just didn't submit anything new. DeviantArt messing everything up with Eclipse hasn't been a great motivator either. I'm working learning a new and hopefully more future-proof technology to both restore what will soon become my lost works and work on new projects, and early efforts have been very promising thanks to a lot of overlap with the script languages. But it'll still take a while I'm afraid. In the meantime, Adobe (custodians of Flash) do offer a standalone Flash player software called Flash Player Projector. I don't know how long they'll offer the download but for now you can find it here: https://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/debug_downloads.html (Edit: Scroll down a little below the STOP part, there's a Windows section. So I posted my first deviation this year without saying anything!
I meant to quickly go through all my dA messages and then post a journal saying "I'm baaack!" but I couldn't get through all my messages hehe. I'm still sitting on about 100. >.<
